Jamie Agoglia: Having worked on some of the most popular cable television series, which show has had the biggest impact on his career? I’ve read that you view your part in Altered Carbon as a pivotal moment in your professional development.
Chris McNally: When Calls the Heart is the first program I’ve been a series regular in, and I don’t think that would have occurred without Altered Carbon, which is what turned my life around.
What was it like to be a member of the cast of When Calls the Heart, one of Hallmark’s most popular television shows?
Since the cast had been together for five years, I was somewhat anxious going in. You immediately feel at home because everyone was so kind and kind.
What have you learnt from the highs and lows of developing a successful career, given your talent and passion for your work?
I’ve learnt to remain optimistic when things at work are difficult. attempting to remain level. It’s a rollercoaster with a lot of highs and lows. Keep your composure and don’t give up. The sting of an audition is lessened when you are prepared and know that you’ve given it your all. You can then try to walk away and it won’t hurt as much if you’re not cast.
Which piece of advice has been the most helpful to you in your professional life?
Making it to the Olympics is more difficult than being a professional actor, according to one of my coaches. The fact that so few individuals succeed as professional actors motivated me to work even harder and give it my all.
What does it mean to you personally to be an actor and performer?
It indicates that I’ve achieved the objective I’ve had since I was a young child. I aspired to be an actor and work in the industry. to play various roles, become fully absorbed in storytelling, and see people like the projects I’m involved with. It feels like a personal triumph, and I’m content with my life since I love what I do.
If you weren’t performing?
I would most likely work in decorating and interior design. I grew up surrounded by it since I adore it and my parents did it.
What does Chris McNally’s typical day entail?
Whether I’m working or not, I’m completely different [laughs]. When I’m working or getting ready for a job, it consumes me and I vanish into thin air. My life is taken over by it. It takes a long time to transform. I enjoy sleeping in, enjoying wine and beer, going camping, and exploring whenever I have free time. Yes, I enjoy traveling. I’ve been attempting to explore the area since moving to Los Angeles last year.
Who is the person you’ve always desired to collaborate with? director, actor, etc.
Sean Penn has always been an inspiration to me, and even though I would be quite intimidated, that would be a dream.
What do you have on your playlist?
Van Fleet, Greta These days, I’ve been listening to a lot of them. They’re excellent .Agent Man and keeping an eye on everything. I actually don’t listen to anything else for weeks or months when I’m into a band, and then I’ll move on to something else.
What do you have on your bedside table? Do you have anything to read right now?
I have no one [laughs]. Right now, I’m furnishing my residence. My watch, phone, and lamp would be on it. My next book to read is Farley Mowat’s “Never Cry Wolf.”
Since moving to Los Angeles, which area have you found most enjoyable?
Right now, my favorite area of town is the Arts District. The restaurants and breweries are all accessible on foot. It’s a rather lively place. It’s excellent. Despite being downtown, this tidy, artistic neighborhood feels extremely new. Gorgeous artwork and murals everyplace.
