Your Guide to Making the Most of Your Shelves
Investing in the right shelving for your storage area is a great move for any business owner. Now you have it in place, though, what should you do next? Really think about your stock

Who needs to access them and how often?

Think about function
Along with considering which items need to be accessed most frequently, think about function as well. It is really useful to have items that are used together stored alongside each other. That way, a staff member can grab the tools they need along with the fixtures, or envelopes and boxes alongside items that you send out with every order. You’ll be amazed at how much this can streamline your operations.
You don’t have to fill every shelf
When you have new shelving in place, it can be tempting to try to fill every last inch of space. This might seem like you are getting your money’s worth, but cluttered shelves are so much harder to work with. So if you find that you have some space left over, don’t rush to fill it right away.
