Here’s the story of how it all begun:
Not long after the Eastern European communist era was cracked down in 1989, two postgraduates with degree in quantum physics decided to get into the business of education aids.
First they done their research at many colleges and universities across Slovakia and then started designing new aids to help students to learn and understand some difficult-to-imagine principles of physics and optics. Many of these aids were patented and some are still being manufactured and exported world-wide to this date.
As time progressed, the two saw an opportunity within the entertainment sector. Utilising their extensive knowledge of optics they entered the laser display business with their first own-built laser systems.
You know, back then the lasers were low power compared to today’s laser projectors, mostly single colour and significantly bigger and heavier. Getting the right parts and quality components was work of magic and trying to establish good business relationships abroad was also considered to be Sci-fi.
Despite all the difficulties, KVANT stroke its roots and its long and successful journey has begun.

Now, almost25 years since Kvant was found, the company is considered to be one of the most successful businesses in Slovakia, with world-wide distribution network that supplies laser display projectors and other equipment to thousands of customers.
